Job Description
St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking to recruit a full-time Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist. Samaritan Hospital, located in Troy, New York, offers a comprehensive program in behavioral health that includes inpatient services across three units and a robust outpatient program located on the hospital campus. An interdisciplinary team provides specialized care to meet the medical, psychiatric, and social needs of the older adult patient.

This opportunity is available for immediate placement and will join a team of counselors, therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and nurse practitioners in providing compassionate care to our patients.

Position Details:


The Psychiatrist will provide outpatient coverage for adult patients at the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic
Call Rotation: 1:6 weekends; 1:7 weeknight
Job Description:

The Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist will:

Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adult patients in the outpatient mental health clinic
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including counselors, therapists, case managers, and nurse practitioners
Assess, diagnose, and manage psychiatric conditions using evidence-based approaches
Participate in both weekend and weeknight call rotations
Contribute to the hospital's mission of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
Engage in professional development and maintain CME requirements
Not accepting Locums candidates
Not open to Visa Candidates
Candidates must be truly Board Eligible or Board Certified.
Candidates with lapsed Board Certification will not be accepted.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary range: $318,449 - $354,957/year, commensurate with experience
$25,000 starting bonus
$30,000 retention bonus
