Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Labor & Delivery unit requiring current L&D CST experience and active KS licensure.

Details

Works in a 26-bed Delivery Room unit supporting high-risk labor, antepartum, and postpartum patients

Patient ratios include 1:1 for high-risk labor and c-sections, 1:2 for antepartum, PPROM, PTL on mag, and PP on mag, and 1:3 for PP mag without baby and outpatients

Performs common procedures including c-sections, inductions, cesarean hysterectomies, and D&C

Uses specialized equipment such as Neptune suction machines, Allen stirrups, Ligasure cautery machines, PPH carts, NRP emergency carts, delivery carts, and GE fetal monitors

Charts using CPN Gold and Meditech EMR systems

Scheduled for 7A-7P shifts over a 13-week assignment

Unit uses self-scheduling to help cover staffing needs

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of current L&D CST experience required

BLS and NBSTA certification required

Active KS licensure required (license required if applicable)

Circulating c-section experience preferred

More than 2 years of labor and delivery experience preferred

High-risk LDR experience preferred

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
