The Pineapple Agency is looking for a precise, detail-driven, and dependable AutoCAD Specialist to translate creative concepts into accurate, buildable drawings across all of The Pineapple Agency’s projects. This specialist will be the technical link between the creative vision and the shop floor, turning design ideas into clear, production-ready documentation that the fabrication team, vendors, and field crews can build and install with confidence The AutoCAD Specialist will be held accountable for drawings that are accurate, complete, and delivered on time so that projects stay on budget and on schedule. They will work in 2D AutoCAD to produce floor plans, elevations, sections, and fabrication details for custom scenic builds, experiential activations, brand environments, trade show booths, and venue layouts. They will also prepare cut files and DXF files that drive shop machinery, including CNC routers and laser cutter s.The AutoCAD Specialist will interface with creative, production, account management, and shop floor teams to capture project requirements, resolve technical issues early, and keep drawings current as designs evolve. The incumbent will be a careful problem-solver, a strong communicator, and a reliable partner who helps the team build things right the first tim e. Requireme nts3-5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience, ideally in fabrication, scenic, exhibits, experiential, or event product ionExpert-level 2D AutoCAD skills, including layers, blocks, dimensioning, annotation, model space and paper space, layouts, and viewport scal ingAbility to produce clear, accurate shop and fabrication drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detail vi ewsExperience preparing CNC cut files and DXF files for routers, laser cutters, and similar shop equipm entStrong understanding of dimensioning, tolerances, scale, and standard drafting conventi onsWorking knowledge of common fabrication materials and methods, such as wood, metal, acrylic, and laminate, and how they affect a bu ldAbility to read and interpret sketches, renderings, and design intent, and translate them into buildable documentat ionExperience creating and maintaining bills of materials, hardware schedules, and drawing no tesExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and consiste ncyStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple drawings and projects simultaneou slyAbility to manage file standards, revisions, and version control across many active proje ctsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with creative and shop te amsProven ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environm entExtremely resourceful, proactive, and solutions-orien Scope of WorkWork with the entire team to:Produce accurate, production-ready 2D drawings for all TPA projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and det ailsTranslate creative concepts and design intent into clear, buildable documenta tionMaintain consistent drawing standards, title blocks, layers, and file naming across all proj ectsKeep drawings current as designs evolve, issuing clean revisions and tracking vers ionsOrganize and maintain drawing files, archives, and project documenta tionBe knowledgeable about the status of all drawings and proactively flag issues and conflicts e allyWork with the Creative Team to:Interpret sketches, renderings, and design intent and identify what is needed to make concepts build ableRecommend practical adjustments that preserve the creative vision while improving feasibi lityProvide accurate dimensions and layouts to support presentation and client mater ialsWork with the Production and Shop Floor Teams to:Develop detailed fabrication and shop drawings that the build team can execute dire ctlyPrepare CNC cut files and DXF files for routers, laser cutters, and other shop equip mentCreate bills of materials, hardware schedules, and notes that support accurate purchasing and asse mblyConfirm material choices, build methods, and tolerances with the shop before drawings are rele asedResolve technical questions on the floor and update drawings as builds prog ressWork with the Account Management and Production Teams to:Capture project scope, dimensions, deadlines, and venue requirements at the start of each pro jectSupport statement of work assumptions, staffing plans, and timelines with accurate draw ingsProvide layouts and load-in and load-out diagrams for venues and event s itesCoordinate drawing deliverables and deadlines so projects stay on schedule and on bu dgetWork with Vendors and Outside Fabricators to:Prepare and issue clear technical drawings and cut files for outside production as ne ededAnswer vendor questions and review returned files to confirm they match design in tentMaintain a single source of truth for the current, approved drawing set on every pro #J-18808-Ljbffr The Pineapple Agency
