Registered Nurse PACU

Registered Nurse (RN)A professional caregiver who plans, provides, and directs patient care and education, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. This role serves as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families and involves collaboration with other healthcare team members. The staff nurse will assist in the orientation of new personnel and may participate in health center and department committees. This position requires the ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care based on specific developmental and psychosocial needs.Education RequirementsGraduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent licensure by Ohio State Board of NursingExperience RequirementsPrevious experience in a specific nursing area preferredLicensure and CertificationCurrent license by the Ohio State Board of NursingCPR certification requiredACLS preferredDuties and ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients in accordance with established standards, including evaluations of safety and educational needs.Participate in developing a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data, cooperating with all involved disciplines, and communicating this plan as appropriate.Implement and evaluate the plan of care based on identified patient goals and expected outcomes. Modify the plan of care based on continuous reassessment of patient status.Complete all documentation according to established standards and utilize designated documentation tools effectively.Assess patient readiness and that of significant others to learn, and implement personalized education plans based on individual needs.Actively engage in nursing department or unit-based initiatives, including in-service opportunities or volunteering for committees and task forces.Provide age-appropriate care for the specific population served as defined by organizational policies.Perform all functions in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.Ensure an excellent service experience for all customers by demonstrating organizational standards of performance consistently.
