Position Summary

We are seeking a senior, hands-on Forward Deployed Full-Stack Engineer to work directly with business stakeholders, architects, product teams, and engineering teams to turn ambiguous operational needs into secure, scalable, production-ready software.

This is a balanced full-stack role requiring meaningful depth across modern Angular, C#/.NET, and AWS. The engineer will own solutions across the delivery lifecycle-from discovery and rapid prototyping through architecture, implementation, cloud deployment, production stabilization, and user adoption.

The successful candidate is comfortable entering complex enterprise environments, learning unfamiliar domains quickly, making pragmatic technical decisions, and delivering measurable outcomes with limited specification. This is not a coordination-only architect, pure frontend role, pure backend role, or cloud/DevOps role.

Key Responsibilities

Forward-Deployed Engineering

• Partner directly with business stakeholders and subject-matter experts to understand workflows, pain points, constraints, and desired outcomes.
• Convert ambiguous business needs into clear technical options, thin-slice prototypes, delivery plans, and production solutions.
• Rapidly learn unfamiliar domains, applications, data flows, and operational processes.
• Build prototypes and proofs of concept to validate feasibility and reduce delivery risk.
• Evolve successful prototypes into secure, tested, maintainable, and supportable production systems.
• Make pragmatic trade-offs across speed, usability, architecture, security, reliability, and total cost of ownership.
• Lead technical discussions, explain trade-offs to nontechnical stakeholders, and drive decisions to closure.
• Support rollout, training, user adoption, feedback collection, and iterative improvement after launch.
• Measure solution impact using adoption, productivity, quality, reliability, or business-outcome metrics.

Full-Stack Application Development

• Design and develop enterprise applications using Angular, TypeScript, C#, ASP.NET Core, and AWS.
• Own features end to end, including UI, APIs, data access, integration, cloud services, automated tests, deployment, and production support.
• Establish clear boundaries among presentation, domain, application, integration, and infrastructure concerns.
• Design secure REST APIs, asynchronous workflows, scheduled processes, and event-driven integrations.
• Integrate with enterprise systems through APIs, queues, events, files, and approved middleware patterns.
• Modernize legacy applications incrementally while preserving business continuity and reducing technical risk.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and improve engineering standards through example and practical guidance.

Frontend Engineering - Angular

• Build responsive, accessible enterprise applications using Angular 18+, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
• Apply standalone components, Signals, computed state, modern control flow, lazy loading, and current Angular patterns appropriately.
• Use RxJS for asynchronous orchestration, cancellation, polling, event streams, retries, and complex API workflows.
• Develop typed reactive forms, dynamic workflows, custom validators, route guards, interceptors, and robust error handling.
• Create reusable, composable UI components with stable, strongly typed APIs and appropriate extension points.
• Implement semantic HTML, keyboard behavior, focus management, responsive layouts, and practical WCAG accessibility.
• Diagnose and improve bundle size, rendering behavior, change detection, interaction latency, and Core Web Vitals.
• Apply appropriate client-state, server-state, and URL-state patterns without unnecessary global state.

Backend Engineering - C#/.NET

• Design and implement APIs and services using C#, ASP.NET Core, and modern .NET.
• Apply dependency injection, middleware, validation, structured error handling, and clean service boundaries.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT claims, roles, scopes, and policy-based authorization.
• Build data-access layers using Entity Framework Core, SQL, and appropriate repository or direct data-access patterns.
• Design background processing, idempotent operations, retries, correlation IDs, and resilient integration workflows.
• Diagnose API, database, memory, performance, concurrency, and downstream dependency issues.
• Create meaningful unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end tests.
• Produce APIs with clear versioning, documentation, observability, and consumer-friendly error contracts.

AWS and Cloud Engineering

• Design and operate secure AWS solutions using services appropriate to the use case, including:
• Lambda and API Gateway
• ECS/Fargate and/or EKS
• S3 and CloudFront
• SQS, SNS and/or EventBridge
• RDS and/or DynamoDB
• CloudWatch and X-Ray or equivalent tracing
• IAM, KMS and Secrets Manager
• Apply least-privilege IAM, secure secret handling, encryption, network controls, and auditable access patterns.
• Build event-driven and asynchronous architectures with appropriate retry, dead-letter, idempotency, and observability controls.
• Use Infrastructure as Code through Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Understand availability, scalability, disaster recovery, performance, and cost trade-offs.
• Troubleshoot production behavior across browser, API, compute, data, messaging, network, and external-service layers.

DevOps, Quality, Security, and Operations

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWS deployment services, or comparable tooling.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy through secure, repeatable processes.
• Implement pull-request checks, automated tests, quality gates, dependency scanning, security scanning, versioned artifacts, environment promotion, smoke tests, and rollback procedures.
• Establish structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts, health checks, and correlation across distributed components.
• Participate in production support, root-cause analysis, planned releases, and an agreed on-call model when required.
• Create concise architectural documentation, runbooks, support procedures, decision records, and operational handoffs.
• Use approved AI-assisted development tools responsibly while retaining engineering ownership and protecting confidential data.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Typically, 8+ years of professional software-engineering experience, including significant recent hands-on full-stack delivery.
• Strong production experience with Angular, TypeScript, C#, ASP.NET Core, and AWS.
• Demonstrated ability to own complete features across frontend, backend, integration, cloud deployment, testing, and production support.
• Recent experience with Angular 18+ concepts, including standalone components, Signals, RxJS, reactive forms, routing, guards, and interceptors.
• Strong TypeScript skills, including generics, type constraints, utility types, typed API contracts, and robust domain modeling.
• Strong HTML/CSS/SCSS skills, including semantic markup, Flexbox, Grid, responsive design, and accessibility.
• Strong C#/.NET skills, including API design, dependency injection, middleware, asynchronous programming, authentication/authorization, testing, and production troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience designing or operating AWS workloads-not merely consuming cloud-hosted applications.
• Experience with SQL and relational data modeling; exposure to NoSQL where appropriate.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, automated testing, observability, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ability to work directly with business users, clarify ambiguous requirements, prototype rapidly, and communicate technical trade-offs clearly.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, ownership, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a forward-deployed, solutions-engineering, consulting, product-engineering, or customer-facing delivery role.
• Experience modernizing legacy Angular and .NET applications incrementally.
• Experience with reusable component libraries, design systems, Storybook, design tokens, or multi-application UI standards.
• Experience with micro-frontends, monorepos, Nx, or independently deployable frontend domains.
• Experience with event-driven systems, distributed workflows, queues, and background processing.
• Experience integrating enterprise identity providers and implementing OAuth/OIDC-based security.
• Experience with API gateways, WAFs, service-to-service security, and cloud cost optimization.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, or Amazon ECS/Fargate.
• React experience as a secondary frontend skill.
• AWS certification is beneficial but demonstrated production ownership is more important.
• Experience using approved enterprise AI tools for prototyping, development, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation.
