Contract | Night Shift | 36 Hours per Week | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients throughout each shift, applying the nursing process to prescribe and deliver individualized care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate and deliver patient care across all age groups
• Incorporate patient and family teaching as well as discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
• Ensure care delivery is consistent with both the medical plan of care and input from patients and significant others

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required at time of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 1 year of hire
• Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation within 6 months of hire; demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia during orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care facility experience
• Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certifications
• Recent experience with EPIC electronic health records system (within the last 12 months) and recent Cerner experience
