Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues.
- Position patients appropriately for scans.
- Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to maintain the equipment and prolong the life of X-ray tubes.
- Sterilize radiologic equipment to help ensure patient safety.
- Accurately interpret physicians’ written scanning instructions.
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality.
- Explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed.
