This position serves as the first point of contact for customers, providing administrative support to store operations while assisting with various office functions. The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in building customer relationships and supports the operational excellence that drives Ashley's retail success.What You'll Do* Front Desk & Customer Service: Greet all customers in a warm, professional manner representing Ashley's brand image. Provide exceptional customer service through all interactions including in-person, phone, and email communications.* Sales Order Support: Assist with processing sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all required documentation is complete, and proper approvals are obtained before finalizing transactions.* Customer Account Management: Process customer credit applications, assist with financing arrangements, and maintain accurate customer account information in retail management systems.* Cash Handling & Financial Procedures: Follow established cash handling procedures, process payments accurately, and reconcile transactions according to company policies under Office Manager supervision.* Customer Issue Resolution: Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating complex issues to Management as appropriate while following up to ensure resolution.* Audit & Compliance Assistance: Support Management with operational audits, inventory processes, and compliance checks by gathering required documentation and verifying accuracy of paperwork.* Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare routine reports, and ensure all sales and office paperwork is properly completed and filed according to company standards.* Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with sales team, merchandising personnel, and other store associates to ensure seamless customer experience and efficient store operations.* Technology & Systems: Utilize point-of-sale systems, retail management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business tools to perform job duties efficiently and accurately.* Complete any additional tasks as assigned by managementWhat You Bring* Legally authorized to work in the US.* At least 18 years old* High school diploma or equivalent* Knowledgeable Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions* 1 year of customer service, office, and/or administrative experience, preferred* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays; including rotation for store opening and closing responsibilities - various shifts* Maintain reliable attendance* Thrive in a team environmentWhat's In It for You:When you join us, you are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits programs, which include:* Extended health, dental benefits, and vision insurance* Employee Discount from 10% - 30%* Life/Disability Insurance* Flex Spending Account* 401K* Paid Time offCompensation: This position pays an hourly rate of $18.00 - $22.00.Benefits: When you join our family, you are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits programs which include Health, Dental, Vision, Life/Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), 80 hours paid vacation and 40 hours of California Paid Sick Leave.Ashley values its diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
