Position: Class A CDL Driver Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class A trucks to haul equipment (pavers, rollers, skid steers, excavators) to and from job sites. Load, secure, and unload equipment using chains, binders, and proper tie‑down procedures. Transport materials such as asphalt, aggregate, and construction debris as needed. Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and maintain accurate logs. Jobsite & Crew Support Coordinate with paving and site crews to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials. Assist with staging equipment, fueling, and basic maintenance when required. Maintain communication with dispatch, superintendents, and project managers regarding schedules and delays. Safety & Compliance Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations. Maintain clean driving record and up‑to‑date medical card. Report mechanical issues immediately and keep truck clean and organized. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record. Experience hauling construction equipment or operating lowboy/tilt‑deck trailers preferred. Knowledge of load securement, tie‑down requirements, and DOT regulations. Ability to operate construction equipment for loading/unloading is a plus. Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced construction environment. Willingness to work extended hours, nights, or weekends during peak paving season. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs as needed. Climb on/off trailers and equipment safely.
