Quality Engineer

Job Description Job Description Salary: $75,000 $95,000 base Quality Engineer (Onsite Central Minnesota) Looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer to support a fast-paced, high-mix production environment. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to build, influence, and elevate quality processes across the shop floor. This is not a desk job. This role is embedded in operations, working directly with production teams to drive continuous improvement and measurable results. What Youll Be Doing Partner closely with Quality leadership to support and elevate plant-wide quality initiatives Drive continuous improvement efforts (scrap reduction, returns, process optimization) Analyze inspection and production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions Lead root cause analysis (5 Whys, problem-solving tools) and implement sustainable solutions Conduct capability studies and support process validation efforts Work cross-functionally with Quality Techs, Plant Leadership, and shop floor teams Stay actively engaged on the production floor alongside welding, forming, and machining operations What Makes This Role Unique High-mix, low-volume environment, every day is different Fast-paced, managed chaos setting vs. highly structured OEM environments High autonomy. Youll be expected to own your work and raise the bar without heavy oversight Opportunity to make a visible impact quickly in a growing organization What Were Looking For 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role Strong background in root cause analysis and continuous improvement Hands-on experience with ERP systems Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma tools (Yellow or Green Belt preferred) Comfortable working directly on the shop floor Self-starter mindset, able to operate independently with minimal direction Nice to Have Green Belt certification Experience in fabrication, metal, or job shop environments Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field Compensation & Schedule Salary: $75,000 $95,000 base Quarterly bonus tied to company performance Schedule: 4/10 workweek schedule (MondayThursday, 6:00 AM 4:30 PM) Please Note: This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
