Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

A facility in Seattle, Washington is seeking an Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Emergency Medicine experience for locums coverage beginning July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Emergency Department caring for a broad range of medical cases with support from attending physicians and RN staff.

Providers should be comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays in a medium- to high-acuity emergency setting.

July 1, 2026 - February 28, 2027

Current shift needs:

• 7 open shifts between now and August
• 10 shifts in September
• 70 shifts needed October through February

• Approx. 16 shifts per month
• Primarily night coverage:
  • 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  • 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM
  • 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Some day shifts as needed:
  • 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays

• Emergency Department
• Support staff: Registered Nurses
• EMR: EPIC

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients
• Collaborate with attending physicians to manage a wide spectrum of emergency conditions
• Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on patient outcomes

• Admissions per day: 8-14
• Patients per day: 8-14

• Primarily medical cases
• Low trauma volume
• Medium- to high-acuity patients

• Board Certified or Board Eligible - Required
• Active Washington license - Required
• Residency/Fellowship training - Required
• ACLS - Required
• BLS - Required
• PALS - Required
• DEA - Required
• NRP - Required
