Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school setting is highly preferred
- Ability to follow treatment plans designed by an Occupational Therapist
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, teachers, and families
- Familiarity with IEPs and related documentation
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle caseload efficiently
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an OT Assistant in Massachusetts
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to help students meet educational and developmental goals
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, special educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Record and update student progress through accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for goal setting and progress
- Adapt activities or materials to meet individual student needs within classroom and therapy settings
- Support inclusive practices and student participation across environments
