About the job Import Export Coordinator
A Japanese-affiliated logistics company in the Bay Area (San Mateo County) is seeking an Import & Export Coordinator to join their team.
- Review import/export documents for accuracy
- Data entry and transmission of shipment information
- Monitor cargo release and arrival status
- Create delivery orders and shipment files
- Communicate with U.S. Customs, vendors, clients, airlines, and shipping companies
- Coordinate with internal teams regarding shipment status and documentation
- Provide administrative and operational support as needed
- Prior experience in the logistics field is a plus, but not required
- Basic computer and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and responsible
- Interest in logistics, import/export, or international business preferred
- Previous office experience is a plus, but not required
$24-28/hr DOE Work Hours: M-F 25-29 hours/wk Work Environment:
- Team-oriented environment
- Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international logistics and trade operations
- Japanese-English business environment
