Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an established manufacturing organization in the Smithfield, NC area to hire a Senior Accountant. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the accounting and financial reporting process while partnering closely with operational and finance leadership. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can make a meaningful impact. Please note that this position is fully onsite in Smithfield, NC, five days per week. Key Responsibilities Prepare and enter journal entries as part of the month-end close process Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules Review variances and provide explanations as part of the month-end close review Provide forecast updates throughout the month for specific expense categories Execute internal controls on a monthly and quarterly basis Maintain daily management reporting related to sales Generate and distribute invoices to customers Post payments and reconcile cash Monitor customer accounts for timely payment and follow up on past-due invoices Implement effective collection strategies to reduce aged receivables Prepare working capital reports for management on a weekly basis Support audit requests Other duties assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years with an Associate degree. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. Advanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred. Experience with Oracle, SAP, Infor Syteline, or similar ERP platforms is required. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
