Job Description
Nurse - Cardiac Care

Schedule

12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Every other weekend and specific weekdays are required. Self-scheduling is permitted with oversight to ensure balance.

Assignment Details

Contract length is 20 weeks or longer, with 36 hours guaranteed per week.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar high-acuity environment.
• Experience working with telemetry, cardiac patients, pre and post procedure care, and managing cardiac drips.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.
• Ability to work with telemetry equipment and manage multiple intravenous drips.

Responsibilities

• Provide stable care for pre and post cardiac procedures, including pacemaker implantation and cardiac catheterizations.
• Manage cardiac drips and perform assessments on patients with various cardiac conditions.
• Assist with patient admissions and discharges, maintaining efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor patient vitals and ensure stability during treatment.

Compliance / Notes

A maximum of 7 days of RTO is allowed for this position. Orientation requires availability all day during the first week.
