About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent oncology experience License: Valid California RN license Certifications: BLS, ONS certification Must-Have: - Prior outpatient oncology infusion center experience preferred - Ability to manage multiple interventions in a dynamic environment - Knowledge of nursing theories, concepts, and practices, as well as medical terminology Description: Accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care. Provides direct patient care, including patient and family education and transitions of care. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in an assigned area. Develops, implements, and coordinates a plan of care that considers psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships among patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through effective communication. Adheres to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to ensure an optimal patient experience. Demonstrates general knowledge and competence in nursing practices, including anatomy and physiology. Maintains knowledge of safety precautions and best practices regarding patient care and privacy. Communicates sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences. Exhibits time management and organizational skills to prioritize patient care and complete assignments effectively. Possesses basic knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Works independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Engages and communicates effectively with team members, patients, and families under stressful situations. Utilizes critical thinking skills to identify and solve routine or complex problems. Ensures the privacy of each patient’s protected health information. Builds collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental objectives. Prioritizes assignments and works within established policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals. Employees may handle hazardous drugs during their duties in accordance with established guidelines.
