Project Manager - Retail Construction

The Project Manager will lead the execution of data center construction projects from preconstruction through final commissioning and turnover. This role requires close coordination with owners, engineers, superintendents, and specialized trade partners to ensure strict adherence to schedule, cost controls, and mission-critical quality standards. Description This Project Manager will be responsible for: Oversee full lifecycle management of data center construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout Lead subcontractor buyout, scope alignment, and contract negotiations with specialized trades including mechanical, electrical, and critical infrastructure vendors Manage project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, and change order processes Coordinate closely with Superintendents and MEP trade partners to maintain strict schedule milestones and sequencing for mission-critical systems Serve as the primary liaison for owners, engineers, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement tracking, and overall project documentation Ensure adherence to rigorous quality, safety, and commissioning standards required for data center environments Mentor and guide Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers while supporting overall team performance Profile 5-8+ years of experience managing complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects Strong understanding of construction sequencing, budgeting, subcontractor management, and contract administration Experience coordinating complex MEP systems and technically demanding infrastructure preferred Proven ability to manage multiple project stakeholders and maintain strict schedule discipline Excellent communication and leadership skills with strong client-facing capabilities Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and construction management platforms Job Offer Base salary $120,000 - $145,000 Annual performance-based bonus Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match PTO and paid holidays Long-term advancement opportunities toward Senior Project Manager or program leadership roles as the company expands its mission-critical portfolio MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
