We are a dual-unit behavioral health treatment organization providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals struggling with Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and primary Mental Health (MH) conditions. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to helping clients achieve lasting recovery and improved mental wellness through individualized treatment and collaborative care.

Schedule : We are open to part-time or full-time, and can be flexible with PT hours.

Position Overview:

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will play a key role in providing psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing care for patients in our treatment programs. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in behavioral health and a strong understanding of the clinical complexities associated with co-occurring disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations for patients in both SUD and MH programs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and medication management plans.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring safe and effective care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other members of the clinical team to ensure integrated treatment delivery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary care planning.
• Provide patient education regarding medications, mental health conditions, and wellness strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations, including confidentiality and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted PMHNP license in the state of NJ.
• Masters or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry/Mental Health.
• DEA license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
