Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $670-$710 (per diem psychiatric RN)
• Location: Flemington, NJ 08822 - Hunterdon County; ideal for New Jersey nursing job seekers
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Availability: Required
• Per Diem Commitment: Minimum 4 shifts per month

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience
• Acute care psychiatric experience preferred
• Experience with crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and therapeutic milieu strongly preferred
• Psychiatric-Mental Health certification (PMH-BC) or additional mental health training a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adults in an inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health unit
• Perform nursing assessments, monitor patient progress, and implement individualized care plans
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Deliver crisis intervention and apply de-escalation strategies to ensure patient and staff safety
• Administer medications, document care accurately in the electronic medical record, and follow facility policies
• Maintain a therapeutic, safe environment and participate in team-based care planning and discharge preparation
