Lead and manage a multi-story plumbing project while overseeing additional jobs across multiple locations. Supervise the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems using copper and cast iron materials, ensuring work meets quality, safety, and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise plumbing crews on a 4story plumbing project from start to finish.
• Oversee multiple plumbing jobs across Greenville, SC, Asheville, and Charleston, coordinating schedules and resources as needed.
• Plan, organize, and assign daily tasks to plumbing team members to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to guide accurate installation and layout of piping systems.
• Supervise and participate in the installation of copper and cast iron piping systems for water, waste, and vent lines.
• Perform and oversee brazing and sweating of copper piping to ensure strong, leak-free joints.
• Inspect completed work to verify compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing installation issues in the field, providing technical guidance to team members.
• Coordinate with general contractors and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and minimal project delays.
• Enforce safety practices on-site and promote a clean, organized work area for all team members.
• Monitor material usage and request additional supplies and equipment as needed to maintain productivity.
• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and guidance to less experienced plumbers and helpers.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience in construction plumbing on multi-story projects.
• Strong background in installing and working with cast iron piping systems.
• Proficiency in copper piping installation, including brazing and sweating techniques.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, prints, drawings, and plumbing schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise plumbing crews on active job sites.
• Solid understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and best installation practices.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and other trades.
• Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving plumbing installation issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Plumbing trade qualification or equivalent field experience.
• Previous foreman or lead plumber experience overseeing crews and multiple job sites.
• Experience managing plumbing work on multi-story buildings.
• Ability to organize work, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks across several projects.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced construction environment with changing priorities.

Work Environment

This role is field-based on active construction sites, primarily on a 4story building and additional projects in Greenville, SC, Asheville, and Charleston. You will work around standard construction equipment, tools, and materials, with a strong focus on safe handling of copper and cast iron piping. The position involves standing, walking, climbing, and working at heights, as well as working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Work hours typically follow standard construction schedules, with potential for extended hours based on project needs. Attire is standard construction workwear suitable for job sites, including appropriate safety gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, work boots, and other required personal protective equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairview, NC.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
