Job Description Job Description Independent Handyman (1099) The Independent Handyman (1099) is a self-employed contractor responsible for delivering reliable repair, maintenance, and installation services for both residential and commercial properties. Operating independently with their own tools and vehicle, the handyman manages scheduling through company-provided software, travels locally within the state, and maintains proactive communication with customers to ensure quality and timely solutions. Responsibilities * Perform general repairs, maintenance, and installations on residential and commercial properties (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical, flooring, painting, drywall, and minor structural fixes). * Prepare accurate service estimates for handyman projects. * Manage scheduling and timelines independently using company software. * Utilize and maintain personal tools and equipment effectively. * Interact professionally with customers to assess needs and provide solutions. * Travel locally within the state to project sites using a personal vehicle. * Demonstrate strong time management and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications * 5+ years of experience in general handyman services or multi-trade maintenance. * Valid driver's license for local travel. * Proficiency in a wide range of home repair and maintenance skills (carpentry, basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc.). * Excellent customer service and communication skills. * Strong time management and scheduling software experience. * Effective problem-solving abilities.
