Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years ER RN experience required License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: TNCC preferred Description: An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse. In this fast-paced position, the Emergency Department RN provides direct care. The RN evaluates outcomes and consults with other specialties as required. Adjustments to the nursing care process are made to ensure optimal patient care. The RN must work well under pressure and collaborate with other health team members. Coordination of medical and nursing management of patient care is essential. This Emergency Department is very busy, seeing over 15,000 patients per year. The department is currently undergoing expansion. As a rural critical access hospital, there is no public transportation in the area. The closest airport is two hours away. Familiarity with medical software is required, and the ability to learn quickly is essential. Credentialing must be completed before the start date. Holiday coverage may be required.
