Product Design Engineer

The Product Design Engineer will be responsible for executing the design process for a broad range of HVAC-related building products.

Critical Job Functions

1. Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine proper application of Pate products.
2. Prepare or assist in the preparation of technical information, submittals, and designs for customer projects.
3. Provide pre-sales and post-sales assistance to customers in support of ongoing projects.
4. Maintain good customer relations and communication. Provide reliable and prompt communications to and from all customers.

Other Job Functions

1. Prepare sketches and drawings showing our products and customer application.

2. Work closely with operations on product design.

3. Work closely with sales and operations in new product development.

4. Additional duties as assigned.

Skills Required

1. Bachelor’s Degree engineering or significant relevant HVAC industry experience.

2. Significant CAD experience.

3. Proficient in Solidworks.

4. Five or more years of previous metal fabrication industry experience.

5. Demonstrated experience with blueprint reading.

6. Ability to manage multiple projects as the same time.

7. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

8. Excellent oral and written communication skills
