SENIOR BUYER

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Creates and manages purchase orders for the materials required by the Company.
2. Follows up on a daily basis with pending orders using various computer tracking systems.
3. Follows up with vendors to ensure deadlines for delivery are met.
4. Evaluates and monitors contracts, delivery, and invoices to ensure that goods, services and delivery schedules comply with the purchase order terms and conditions of the contract.
5. Performs cost analysis and negotiation, collaborating with the Purchasing team to optimize costs without compromising on quality (Savings).
6. Expedites deliveries as necessary to maximize customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
7. Forecasts the purchasing needs.
8. Manages supplier scorecard and coordinates supplier continuous improvement (development) initiatives.
9. Leads the bidding processes to review market prices and ensure the company prices are the best negotiated prices.
10. Leads supplier relationship management.
11. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
12. Works closely collaborating with planning and operations team, to optimize supply chain processes.
13. Proactively engages and collaborates with business stakeholders, to solve operational issues and problems related to Purchase.
14. Participates in further improvement, optimization and implementation of changes as required for team process improvements.
15. Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in administration.
2. Bilingual English- Spanish preferred.
3. 5+ years of purchasing experience.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
5. Strong planning, negotiation and follow-up skills.
6. Working knowledge of ERP systems.
7. Effective verbal, written, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
8. Proactive attitude to highlight and address issues as they arise.
9. Teamwork orientated.
10. Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
11. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
