Tool Room Technician Experienced Tool Room Technician for Manufacturer in Munster. $25 + DOE What's in it for you? Tool Room Technician Details: Temp-to-Hire position $ 25.00 / hour Full Time work available First Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 02:30pm) Manufacture and repair tooling, dies, molds, and fixtures. Operate machine tools such as: Lathes, Milling machines, Surface grinders, CNC machines, Drill presses Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications. Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Troubleshoot tooling problems and perform corrective maintenance. Assemble and test tooling components. Maintain tool inventory and records. Follow safety procedures and housekeeping standards. Work closely with engineers, maintenance personnel, and production staff to improve tooling performance. Tool Room Technician Qualifications: Knowledge of machining practices and tool materials Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances Experience with precision measuring equipment Technical training in machining, tool & die or Manufacturing technology preferred Knowledge of CNC programming is a plus Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
