Key Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and scheduled PM tasks including lubrication, filter changes, and component replacements.

• Troubleshooting: Learn to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to keep production running smoothly.

• Repairs & Rebuilds: Dismantle defective machines using handheld and pneumatic tools to replace faulty components.

• Technical Trades: Set up and operate machine shop tools (lathe, drill press, grinder) and use welding/cutting equipment to repair or join metal parts.

• Schematics & Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder logic, and pneumatic diagrams to isolate machine issues.

• Safety First: Maintain a safe, injury-free work environment by strictly adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

• A strong interest in working with machinery in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Basic foundational knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, scheduled preventive maintenance (lubrication, filter changes, component replacements), and corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic machinery.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose machine malfunctions using blueprints, ladder logic, and electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic schematics.

• Machine Operations: Manually dismantle defective machines using handheld/pneumatic tools, isolate damaged components, and install/repair electrical and electronic elements.

• Technical Trades: Set up and operate machine shop tools (lathe, drill press, grinder) to fabricate or repair parts, and utilize cutting torches and welding equipment to join metal pieces.

• Controls & Testing: Utilize equipment control systems to safely start, move, test, and properly shut down machinery to complete tasks.

• Inventory & Vendor Support: Maintain the spare parts inventory by accurately requisitioning necessary repair parts and consulting with outside vendors regarding replacement components.

• Collaboration & Safety: Assist senior maintenance staff with complex installations, maintain meticulous records (work orders, equipment manuals), and strictly adhere to company safety protocols.
