Southern Maine Administrative Collaborative is seeking: Speech and Language Pathologist for grades K -12 We are seeking Speech Language Pathologist. This is a full time position. SMAC is an inter-district agency providing special education services to children from preschool through grade 12, throughout the state of Maine. We are part of a state-wide initiative fostering collaboration between districts to fill special service provider shortages, achieving efficiencies for schools and cost-savings for taxpayers. Our team of SLP's, Psychologists, Special Educators, and Behavioral Health Professionals serve Maine's young learners in districts from Kittery to Madawaska. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: 1. Assessing children's communication skills for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment.
2. Collaborating with a variety of groups and/or individuals for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines.
3. Developing and implementing treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements. Certification/License: 1. Valid Speech Pathologist license as issued by the Maine State Board of Examiners on Speech Pathology and Audiology. 2. Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education Education:
Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. Experience:
