What you will be doing:

• Our nationwide team of Architectural Sales Representatives work closely with architectural professionals advising on the design and specification of door openings.
• This is accomplished through Openings Studio, our award-winning BIM software used to specify 3D doors, hardware and access control.
• In this role, you can picture yourself as a vital consultant to the architect and design team.
• You will be given the freedom to navigate your path to achieve success in the market.
• Your goal will be to drive positive, sustaining relationships with key influencers and to create brand demand through educating, facilitating, and promoting ASSA ABLOY solutions.
• You can expect to be part of a diverse and talented sales team with colleagues dedicated to mutual support and success.

Key areas you will contribute to in this role include:

• Cultivate strategic relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers.
• Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications.
• Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications.
• Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services.
• Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process.
• Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project tracking and time management tool.

What you can look forward to:

• You will work alongside a committed team of professional consultants who are focused on providing specification support and services to many of the top architectural firms in the country.
• You will serve as the point-of-contact for the architect's education, specification, client satisfaction and technical support needs.
• You will be responsible for architectural development, project tracking, and ultimately gaining approval for our internal team of writers to prepare Division 08 door and hardware specification documents.
• You will promote adoption of the Openings Studio BIM tool and present project proposals for value-added professional services.

• Ability to perform responsibilities both in a home office environment or while traveling.
• You can lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.

Education and/or experience:

• Your background includes a College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural, design/engineering/drafting, construction science/management, business, or similar), or have work experience commensurate with, minimum high school/GED diploma.
• At least 2 - 3 years' industry related experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management, will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
• Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus.

Special considerations:

• Must live in Los Angeles County, CA.

• The wage range for this role is $95K - $105K and considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions.
