Seeking: Packaging Specialist – 2nd Shift
Location: Houston, TX 77028
Pay: $20.00 per hour | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM – 1:30 AM
Employment Type: Full-Time
Openwork is hiring an experienced Packaging Specialist for a growing manufacturing facility in Houston. This is a great opportunity for candidates with packaging, warehouse, or forklift experience who are looking for a stable position with long-term career potential.
What You'll Do:
- Package finished products according to company specifications.
- Verify pallet labels, measurements, counts, and product information.
- Operate a forklift to move and stage materials.
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and traceability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety, PPE, and quality procedures.
- Assist with production and shipping activities as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of packaging, manufacturing, warehouse, or forklift experience required.
- Forklift experience required (assessment conducted during the interview).
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain active throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Safety & Work Environment:
- Climate-controlled facility with spot coolers.
- Facility works with lead-based materials and follows strict safety standards.
- Must be able to wear a respirator during the shift.
- Daily showering after work and periodic blood testing are required.
- Must follow all PPE and safety requirements.
