Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Machine Operators for a manufacturing/production environment.

PAY: $17.00/hour
HOURS: Shifts will be 8-hour workdays (Plus Overtime) 5 days per week
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Friday; 7:00 am-3:30 pm
START DATE: ASAP
Duration: Temporary to Permanent

Machine Operator Job Description

The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting assigned production machines. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good mechanical ability, and the ability to follow production procedures and safety requirements.

The Machine Operator will inspect finished parts and products to ensure they meet required specifications and will make adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain product quality and production standards.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate assigned production machinery according to established procedures and checklists.
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure they are running safely and efficiently.
• Inspect parts and finished products to verify they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Make machine adjustments and perform tool changes as needed.
• Identify machine problems, defects, or unusual operating conditions and report them to the supervisor.
• Troubleshoot basic machine issues and assist with corrective actions as directed.
• Follow production schedules, work instructions, and established operating procedures.
• Complete required production, inspection, and machine operation paperwork accurately.
• Use hand and power tools as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Report work-related accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or equipment problems immediately.
• Follow all company safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Follow procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials when applicable, including reviewing Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Protect company equipment, tools, machinery, and other assets.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and other employees to maintain a productive production environment.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications for Machine Operator

• Previous Machine Operator or manufacturing/production experience preferred .
• Technical, trade, or vocational school training is preferred.
• Knowledge of production procedures and manufacturing processes preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions and production procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or quality issues.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance .
• Position requires the use of PPE, including steel-toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves.

• Must report accidents, injuries, equipment issues, and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Must maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Must be willing to complete required safety training and certifications.
