Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting & Finance
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Prepare and manage financial statements and reports
- Oversee audits, tax filings, and compliance (U.S. + India)
- Support investor updates and board materials
- Employee Benefits & HR Support
- Manage compensation and benefits programs (U.S. + India)
- Build scalable HR processes (onboarding, performance reviews, L&D)
- Shape talent acquisition strategy with local teams
- Foster culture and employee engagement
- Team Management & Growth
- Lead and collaborate with finance & HR team (India-based)
- Identify future U.S. support roles as the company scales
- Promote collaboration and accountability across functions
- Office Administration
- Oversee day-to-day office operations and vendor relationships
- Act as point of contact for external service providers
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Core Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in a Controller or full-charge bookkeeping role, with direct responsibility for:
- Accounts receivable and payable
- Financial statement preparation
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis (FP&A)
- Regulatory compliance
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline
- CPA designation preferred
- In Person at Schenectady, NY HQ Strongly Preferred
- Prior experience in a startup or high-growth company, with a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong HR experience, particularly in managing or supporting distributed/global teams
- Experience with CRMs, accounting software and general workflow automation
