2027 Summer Internship Overview

The Trivest Summer Internship Program typically lasts eight (8) weeks and is designed for students entering their sophomore or junior year of college who possess a strong interest in pursuing a career in private equity. Given that the program is structured to give participants far more in learning and experience than the company gains from their contributions, the program is unpaid and will begin early June and end in late July.

Interns will be based out of our global headquarters in Coral Gables, FL, and will be expected to be in the office four days per week. During the program, interns will be exposed to various functional areas within Trivest – investment team, business development, portfolio support, and more – and undertake a wide variety of projects.

The online application window is from October 15th to December 31st . Candidates who meet our initial requirements will be invited to a first-round virtual interview with a member of the internship program leadership team. In some cases, a second-round, virtual interview may be requested. Final decisions will be sent via email to candidates in February.

What You will be Doing:

• Pre-Internship Learning: Interns complete asynchronous training including Wall Street Prep’s Private Equity Masterclass, required PE readings, and legal/compliance modules.
• Cross-Functional Exposure: Interns gain hands-on experience across multiple Trivest functions including sourcing, deal screening, CIM summarization, founder call shadowing, pipeline preparation, and project work with Fund Teams, Portfolio Support, Operations, Marketing, Legal/Compliance, and Business Development.
• Capstone Project: Teams of 3–4 research and present an industry investment thesis to Trivest judges at program’s end.
• Networking Opportunities: Participation in local professional and community events (e.g., ACG, AMAA, Trivest-hosted gatherings).

Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

• Enrolled and in good standing at an accredited university in the United States
• Entering your sophomore or junior year in college/university
• Coursework in finance, accounting, economics, or business-related field
• Exceptional analytical, research and project management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent prioritization and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• General understanding of finance, valuation
• Fluency in English
