Accounting Manager

An Accounting Manager oversees a company's accounting department, managing daily operations, staff, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulations like GAAP, ensuring financial accuracy and supporting strategic business decisions through analysis, forecasting, and robust internal controls, often requiring a bachelor's degree and CPA. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations : Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. Reporting & Analysis : Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; provide insights to management. Budgeting & Forecasting : Develop, monitor, and manage budgets and financial plans. Staff Management : Supervise, train, and mentor accounting team members. Compliance : Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and tax laws; manage audits. Process Improvement : Implement and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Essential Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Certifications: CPA license highly preferred by many employers.
