Registered Nurse (RN II) – Progressive Care Unit Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours Full Time 36 Hours, Nights; 7:00 pm – 7:00 am; Rotating Weekends Department Highlights Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Engaged leadership team Focused collaboration with multidisciplinary team Unit with great resources to provide the best patient care possible Here’s What You Need Nursing Diploma required Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required BSN preferred One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program required One-year strong Medical Telemetry experience in an Acute Care setting strongly preferred RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers Cardiac Focused Care Management of various cardiac drips Additional Perks Of Being a Texas Health Nurse Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student Loan forgiveness as well as several other benefits.
