Full Time Baltimore, MD, US Job Title: Outside Sales Engineer Salary: $60,000 - $160,000, based on experience – draw plus uncapped commission Department: EESCO Outside Sales Reports To: Vice President Job Overview To service existing customers and develop new customers within the Baltimore territory. This position requires a motivated professional with experience selling rotating equipment. Possess superior communication, analytical, and organizational skills Exhibit goal‑oriented behaviors Exude a customer‑focused attitude and understand how to build relationships Apply extensive attention to detail to all tasks Toggle between projects and responsibilities with ease Work well in a team environment The candidate’s preferred background may be from the following areas: Former maintenance mechanic or millwright from either the HVAC, plant maintenance and repair, or mechanical contractor fields Product sales from the HVAC plant maintenance and repair or mechanical contractor fields Must be able to pass background and reference checks, as well as a drug test Must maintain an active, REAL ID compliant driver’s license with a clean driving record, or a valid U.S. passport, as required for access to federal facilities. Scope of Responsibility Reporting to the Vice President of EESCO, the sales representative and estimator will need to respond to customer requests for service estimates, surveying job sites, and gather information for developing proposals, which includes: Understanding the nature of the request Scope out logistical requirements Developing scope of work, written proposals, and cost estimates Developing, building, and maintaining relationships with key service customers throughout the Baltimore Metropolitan Area targeting industrial, power, commercial, institutions (hospitals and universities), municipal water, and wastewater markets. Assist coordinators with the preparation of accurate and professional proposals for a variety of technical services including trouble‑shooting, evaluation, and repair.
