Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and Cerner proficiency.

Details

Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting

Patient population includes females of childbearing years, pregnant from 17 weeks gestation, laboring patients, and those undergoing scheduled procedures such as C-sections, external cephalic versions, and cerclage

Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op care, and both vaginal and C-section deliveries

Uses fetal monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink documentation systems

3x12-hour shifts on an AM/PM rotation with a heavier lean toward night shifts (approximately 70-80%)

36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment

Requirements

Active RN license in DC required, no pending licenses accepted

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)

NRP certification required

AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required

Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required

Minimum 2 years of Cerner experience required

Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

Provide comprehensive nursing care across the L&D unit including triage, admissions, labor support, and delivery assistance

Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility for consideration
