About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1+ years of experience License: RN License (Single State or Compact) Certifications: BLS (AHA) Required Must-Have: - Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice. - BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Description: Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Evaluates health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data. Performs health teaching and health counseling. Provides therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others. Executes delegated medical functions. Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment. Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans. Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Uses resources as needed. Promotes mission, vision, and values of the organization and abides by service behavior standards. Performs other duties as assigned. May be required to float to other departments based on business needs. May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift. Required Skills: Health data assessment. Health teaching. Health counseling. Therapy and treatment planning. Nursing care. Preferred Skills: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred. Treatment plan monitoring. Medical function execution. Documentation. Resource utilization. Patient referral. Education: Required Education: ASN - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. Required Certifications & Licensure: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required. BLS - American Heart Association. ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for the unit or service. Preferred Certifications & Licensure: Certification as appropriate for the unit or service is preferred.
