Operations Manager / Project Manager — Licensed PE (Structural)

Anansys Staffing LLC

Operations Manager / Project Manager - Licensed PE (Structural)

Brush Prairie, WA

[On-site / Hybrid - TBD] Full-time

The short version

We're a structural engineering firm doing residential, commercial, and industrial work across Washington and Oregon. The technical work is strong and the pipeline is full. What we need now is someone to build the machine around it.

This is not a seat where you inherit a mature ops function and maintain it. You'd be the person who designs it.

What you'd own

Operations (the core of this role)

  • Own how work moves through the firm - intake, scoping, proposal, production, QC, delivery
  • Build and enforce SOPs that hold up as we grow, rather than living in one person's head
  • Run our project management system (ClickUp-based) as a real operating tool: workload balancing, task routing, capacity visibility
  • Own the metrics that matter - utilization, effective rate, schedule adherence, rework
  • Help scope and hire the next round of technical staff, then get them productive fast

Project management

  • Keep a portfolio of concurrent projects on schedule and on budget
  • Serve as the point of accountability for clients, architects, contractors, and jurisdictions
  • Drive plan review responses and permit coordination to closure

Engineering (real, but not the majority of your week)

  • Review and seal work produced by the team
  • Mentor an EIT on the path to licensure
  • Take on design work directly when the schedule calls for it

What we're looking for

  • Licensed PE in structural engineering - required. WA and/or OR licensure, or ability to obtain by reciprocity. SE is a strong plus.
  • A track record of actually running things - a team, a department, a book of projects - not just participating in them
  • Comfort across building types. Our work spans single-family through industrial, and you'll see all of it.
  • Someone who fixes the process, not just the project. If you've ever been the person who quietly rebuilt how your last firm tracked work, we want to talk.
  • Direct, low-ego communication. Small team, no room for politics.

We're open on years of experience. We care far more about what you've actually built and run than about a number on a resume.
