Medical Science Liaison, Lung/GU Oncology (MA, NH, VT, ME)

Position: Medical Science Liaison, Lung/GU Oncology Location: Field - MA, NH, VT, ME The primary role of the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is to engage in meaningful peer‑to‑peer scientific dialogue with healthcare system leaders such as Regional Thought Leaders (RTLs), National Thought Leaders, and Healthcare Professional (HCP) within a defined geography to translate science into patient care. The MSL captures medical insights and acts as a clinical & scientific advisor to cross‑functional partners, ensuring interactions are aligned with enterprise and medical strategies. The MSL will work with the medical community on scientific questions beyond approved assets and indications, focusing on pre‑ and peri‑launch activities or lifecycle needs of the brand and engaging in educational dialogue with relevant HCPs. Key Responsibilities Medical Engagement Collaborate and engage in scientific dialogue with TLs to gain insights on the clinical landscape and develop a product/disease‑area focused medical plan. Engage in scientific and clinical conversations to ensure effective launch and lifecycle management activities. Engage with medical societies, PAGs, guideline committee members and provide training for external speakers as needed. Strategically engage payers in pre‑ and peri‑launch phases with fHEOR and Account Executives. Provide medical support to address unsolicited HCP questions in real‑time, both face‑to‑face and via the Medical on Call virtual capability. Document and achieve annual goals, and leverage digital capabilities to enhance medical engagement. Clinical Trial Engagement Recommend and provide insights to clinical development on study feasibility and site selection based on field knowledge and investigator networks. Liaise with key accounts to understand and address clinical barriers to patient access and equity in trial participation. Lead major evidence read‑outs with clinical trial investigators and support interventional and non‑interventional research studies. Assist HCPs in ISR submission and execution and follow‑up, ensuring BMS Pharmacovigilance procedures are applied. Support CRO–sponsored studies and communicate adverse events to appropriate BMS personnel. Required Qualifications & Experience MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with experience in a specific disease area or broad medical background; pharmaceutical experience preferred. Experience in a scientific and/or clinical research environment; field medical expertise preferred. Deep understanding of TL environment and needs. Strong Oncology Experience Required Scientific or clinical disease‑area knowledge, patient treatment trends, and clinical landscape. Pharmaceutical industry experience, including compliance and regulatory guidelines. Understanding of Scientific Publications Clinical trial design and process. Knowledge of national and regional healthcare and access environment. Travel Requires operating a company‑provided vehicle and meeting company driver qualifications (age 21+, valid license, acceptable risk). Will spend majority of time in the field with external customers; additional travel based on territory assignment and team needs. Utilize Medical on Call technology and stay current with technological advancements. Represent BMS in all interactions, maintaining integrity and good judgment. Deep knowledge of RWE, national healthcare access environments, and ability to interpret RWE for project opportunities. Compensation Overview Field - United States – US: $168,220 – $203,837 (annual). Compensation may include additional incentive cash and stock opportunities based on eligibility.
