Weekend Residential Counselor

Location: 6501 N. Charles Street, Towson, MD 21204, USA. Description We are seeking a Residential Counselor to work Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 11 pm in our historic campus located in Towson, Maryland. The Sheppard Pratt School and Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is a Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) approved, level V nonpublic school offering a year‑round therapeutic educational and residential program for youths ages 12–18 with emotional and behavioral challenges. You will provide guidance and support to students living in a residential treatment setting . Working closely with your students, you will support them as they achieve goals, overcome challenges, and find a path to leading fulfilling lives. Responsibilities Reinforce students’ daily living skills and maintain structure and organization within the residential setting. Organize daily recreational activities, ensuring that students have access to fresh air, leisure activities, and exercise. Encourage and reinforce behavior according to program standards. Provide complete and accurate documentation. This position offers rich experience and training in using therapeutic approaches while working with children and adolescents in a structured psychiatric program. Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid driver’s license at time of appointment (preferred). Eligibility to operate a vehicle in accordance with Sheppard Pratt requirements.
