Job Details Title: OPS Financial Counselor – 64956562 Position Number: 64956562 Pay Plan: Temp Salary: $16.23 to $17.50 Posting Closing Date: 08/01/2026 Location: Fort Pierce, Florida Responsibilities Promote “patient first” by providing excellent customer service on all incoming calls. Answer, schedule, and reschedule client appointments, confirming payer source. Explain the no‑show policy when clients miss appointments. Monitor schedules to reduce patient wait times and fill available slots. Process Medicaid, HMO, and third‑party insurance billing (recent experience considered a plus). Register and maintain accurate client records in HMS and dental electronic records systems. Verify eligibility, educate clients on fee schedules, and collect payments. Document third‑party insurance information to maximize revenue collections. Maintain records, filing systems, inventories, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Prepare and submit required reports, timesheets, and activity records. Operate office equipment (copiers, scanners, printers, etc.) and assist colleagues as needed. Qualifications and Skills Minimum: Customer service experience in an office setting. Preferred: Bilingual; experience in dental office reception/scheduling. Knowledge of EARS, HMS, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), People First System, and TRAIN. Ability to prioritize work assignments and perform related tasks as required. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
