Program Support Assistant

Job TitleProgram Support AssistantJob DescriptionMajor duties of this position include but are not limited to:Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of administrative processes by researching regulations, policies, directives, memoranda, handbooks, and standard operating procedures to determine their impact on Nursing Services operations.Prepares recurring and non-recurring correspondence, reports, memoranda, statistical summaries, management briefings, spreadsheets, presentations, charts, and graphs utilizing Microsoft Office applications and other VA information systems.Maintains a centralized repository of Nursing Service policies, memoranda, directives, and Standard Operating Procedures.Serves as the Nursing Service liaison for equipment accountability and inventory management.Coordinates meetings, prepares agendas, records meeting minutes, monitors action items, and follows up on assignments to ensure timely completion.Serves as the Timekeeper and/or alternate Timekeeper for Nursing ServiceWork Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-4:00 pm (Subject to change based on the needs of the Agency)Virtual: This is not a virtual position.Position Description/PD#: Program Support Assistant/ PD84400-0Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not AuthorizedCritical Skills Incentive (CSI): Not ApprovedPermanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized
