This position is based at our main medical center, with responsibilities extending to one of our affiliated hospitals.

About Our Organization

About the Division

Our Division of Cardiology provides both inpatient consultative services and outpatient care for conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease. We play a vital role in training residents and are in the process of establishing "The Cardiovascular Center for Excellence" in collaboration with cardiothoracic surgery and expanding our structural cardiology services.

Position Overview

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• Eligibility for California medical licensure
• Passion for teaching and mentoring residents and interns
• Shared responsibilities for inpatient and outpatient care
• Inpatient rotations include:
  • Cardiology Consult Service
  • CCU Service
• Strong support from Internal Medicine residents and trainees
• Supervision and support from advanced practice providers
• Outpatient responsibilities encompass:
  • Echocardiography interpretation (TTE)
  • EKG interpretation
  • Zio Patch monitoring interpretation
  • Ambulatory cardiology clinic
  • Performing TEE
  • Conducting cardioversion
• Shared call schedule promoting work-life balance with a call frequency of every 6 to 7 days
