Auto Casualty Claims Specialist

Position Overview The Auto Bodily Injury Claims Specialist will be responsible for investigating and settling automobile bodily injury claims. Responsibilities include settling complex liability claims that require extensive investigation and verification, as well as casualty claims involving severe injuries that may lead to extended disability, bodily injury, or coverage‑related litigation. Duties & Responsibilities Review and determine the course of action on each file assigned, using technical knowledge and experience to support final disposition of a loss. Conduct thorough investigations and keep accurate and relevant documentation of file activity for each claim, including coverage, liability status, and applicable damages. Process bodily injury and coverage claims in accordance with established office procedures. Work closely with third parties, plaintiff counsel, the Claim Director, and the Chief Operating Officer to determine necessary injury and coverage investigations. Research case and statutory law to conduct proper claim investigations. Document policy status, coverage, liability, and damages on all claims and notify the re‑insurer on qualifying claims. Prepare and present claim evaluations for the appropriate settlement authority. Maintain reasonable expense factors. Handle other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required 3‑5 years in auto casualty claims experience required. Non‑standard auto claims experience preferred. Minimum five years of auto bodily injury casualty experience required for hybrid/remote consideration. Knowledge of legal and medical terminology. Excellent negotiation, communication, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to pass written examinations required by state statutes to become a licensed claims adjuster.
