Serra Automotive, owner of 55 dealerships nationwide, is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join the team at Serra Toyota in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Position Overview

Serra Toyota Milwaukee is looking for motivated professionals who thrive in a fast-paced automotive environment and enjoy being part of a successful team.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including: engine, transmission, electrical systems, steering and suspension, brakes, air conditioning
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor regarding vehicle condition and additional service needs
• Provide accurate time estimates for additional repairs
• Execute warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work stall
• Ensure customers' vehicles are kept clean while in service

Sign-On Bonus

Technicians with certifications from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) may qualify for a $1,000 – $5,000 sign-on bonus, depending on certification level.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive technician
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and repair information
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
• Valid driver's license
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technology

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to quickly identify mechanical problems
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems
• Effective analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new repair procedures and manufacturer specifications
• Experience operating electronic diagnostic equipment
