Description

The Seasonal Tax Reviewer plays an important role in supporting our clients through tax season. In this role, you'll primarily review individual (1040) and fiduciary federal and state income tax returns, while also having the opportunity to assist with intermediate-to-complex tax return preparation and gain exposure to small business returns. It's a great opportunity to put your tax expertise to work, work alongside an experienced team, and make a meaningful impact during one of the busiest times of the year.

The Seasonal Tax Reviewer can expect to focus on the following areas:

• Review individual and fiduciary income tax returns for both federal and various states
• May review some corporate and partnership tax returns
• May prepare some intermediate to complex tax returns
• Research tax issues as needed
• Prepare tax analysis and other calculations related to tax adjustments for tax returns and tax estimates
• Assist with special projects and assignments on an as needed basis
• Assist with the delivery of the final tax return product to clients
• Perform other duties as requested
• Maintain team approach by assisting and filling in for others when necessary

A couple things to note about our Seasonal Tax Reviewer position:

• This is a seasonal position supporting Savant's tax season needs from January 2027 through April 30, 2027.
• This is an hourly position.
• This role is 100% in-office. If selected to move forward, we can discuss which Savant office location works best for you.

Qualifications

The Seasonal Tax Reviewer position typically requires the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance or related field from an accredited college or university
• Experience: Prior experience in a CPA firm with 3 - 7 years of tax preparation and review
• Designation: Active CPA or EA preferred

Compensation

We take a market-based approach to compensation. The expected base salary range for this role is $42 - $63 an hour. Actual compensation is determined on an individual basis and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and market conditions.
