Product Owner – Banking Domain

We are looking for a Product Owner with strong experience in the banking and financial services domain to drive product development and delivery for high-impact digital and data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate should have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and banking stakeholders to deliver valuable solutions aligned with business goals.

Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with development teams to deliver features on time and within scope.
Lead sprint planning, reviews, and backlog grooming sessions.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal audit standards.
Track product performance and make data-driven decisions to refine strategy.
Act as a subject matter expert in banking processes and digital transformation.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in the banking/financial services industry.
Strong understanding of banking operations, digital banking, or core banking platforms.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
Excellent skills in gathering requirements, writing user stories, and managing backlogs.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred:

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification.
Experience in regulatory/compliance projects, digital product modernization, or banking APIs.

Note: Only candidates local to Columbia, SC or willing to relocate will be considered.
