Required Skills:

• Associate of applied science in nursing (aas) or higher
• Current new york state rn licensure
• Bls certification upon hire; acls, pals, and nrp certifications within 6 months of hire
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to float within designated skills as needed and work collaboratively with healthcare teams

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in neonatal intensive care or maternal child health
• Knowledge of current nursing protocols and guidelines from awonn, acog, nna, and aorn
• Experience with post-partum care

Preferred Education and Experience:

• At least 1 year of relevant nicu or maternal child health nursing experience is preferred
• Current bls, acls, pals, and nrp certifications

Other Requirements:

• Repetitive use of hands and fingers; ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift light loads related to patient care and operate necessary medical equipment
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to unit needs
