Warehouse Associate

Actively greets members, provides a high level of member service, performs clean up, department set-up and closing tasks as necessary.

Job duties include:

• Greeting members, helping members load orders onto conveyor belt, determining member packing preferences, answering questions, relating information on special promotions, thanking members, assisting cashier by counting items left in cart, checking under items and positioning them for scanning.
• Packing member orders into boxes and loading to a separate cart or flatbed. Checking packaging for tampering.
• Following all safety and security procedures. Following proper departmental procedures for performance of duties.
• Assisting members loading orders into the car when appropriate. May assist members with self checkouts with regards to scanning heavy merchandise, entering in items numbers.
• May assist members with self checkouts through monitoring the registers for errors and keeping the belt area clean of product and debris.
• Maintaining cleanliness of register area and general front-end area. Cleaning spills and trip hazards immediately.
• Performing set up and closing duties for the department, such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning area.
• Transferring pallets of merchandise from the receiving area to the steel shelves and bulk wall for storage, or directly to the sales floor. Assisting with stocking. Clearing sales floor debris.
• Observing and ensuring correct product signage; creating computer-generated signs. Labeling unmarked product with item number. Ensuring proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials. Assisting with department duties as necessary. Assisting in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
