A clear understanding of both menu items and specials will be critical as servers will be expected to answer any questions a member or guest may have. Additionally, a general knowledge of wine, liquor, and beer will be helpful. Management will assist in bringing staff up to speed on our offerings both food and beverage, but previous knowledge and experience is preferred. Experience with point of sale systems is a plus. Job Duties Provide excellent member experience Greet members and present menus Make suggestions based on their preferences Take and serve food/drinks orders Up-sell when appropriate Arrange table settings Keep tables clean and tidy at all times Accurately ring in and charge members Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines Perform opening and closing side work Work with management to resolve all member and guest complaints Completes other appropriate assignments directed by dining room managers Reports to Clubhouse Manager Qualifications Candidate should have 1 year of serving experience Candidate should be able to work in a fast paced demanding environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Algonquin Golf Club
